The black color of this skin doesn't cover all of it. There is a bright white pronounced border of plastic that was not color coated black. This sticks out noticeably and looks bad. Seller said all of them are like that. Just a lazy manufacturer not finishing the painting job. Adds a considerable amount of bulk to the phone, but it doesn't make the phone less slippery to hold. I agree on the lint-collecting complaint. Constant lint build up in areas very difficult to clean.

I've only had this for a few days, but it fits my Droid perfectly and has a nice tacky feel to it to keep from slipping. The only downside is on parts of the edges the black rubberized material that they spray on it is not completely covering the hard white plastic that is underneath. It's a small thing and overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Everything works as it should with it on including the screen turning off when held up to your ear.

Mine cracked within the first week. I took the case off a few times because the phone would not fit in the car mount with it on and it did not stand up to being put on and taken off.

You can have ~8 of these cases for the price of one of the fancier ones out there. save your money, when/if the rubber wears off, get a new one. Also, I have not noticed this case effectign the proximity sensor function.

The main reason I wanted a faceplate is that I use a: Palm Horizontal Case for Treo 650, 700. I've used the palm case for many years with my old Palm Treo and really liked the way it stayed snug on my belt and has an extra pocket inside the case that holds business cards. The Droid fit into the case well but the volume and camera buttons would sometimes be activated by the Palm case. By attaching the rubberized faceplate I no longer have that problem. It did add a little heft to the Droid but it fit even more securely into my Palm case. I've had none of the issues reported by other reviewers.
